Born on 19 June 1970, he is the son of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. He has been associated with the Indian National Congress for over two decades and served as Congress President from 2017 to 2019. Rahul Gandhi has represented Amethi and Wayanad in Parliament and was elected to the 18th Lok Sabha in 2024. Since June 2024, he has served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
